Estella Kirsanova: “I want to cover all Ukrainians with wings and provide education to all Ukrainian children”
Recently, the project «The First Ukrainian School in Poland» received a state license from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to implement educational activities. Education for Ukrainian children is free and takes place according to the general education programs of the Ministry of Education. The director of the Ukrainian school in Krakow, Estella Kirsanova, told about it. According to her, this is an ordinary comprehensive school, which has grades 1-11 and which covers children from 6 to 17 years of age. On September 1, 600 Ukrainian children from families of forced migrants will start school.
According to Estella Kirsanova, the school has almost 950 additional applications from parents for their children’s education. So now there is a huge need for Ukrainian educational institutions in Poland. The educator said that there is only one Ukrainian school in Kraków, but there is a desire to include all those who are interested in education.
